Elevating Farmers- Part One

In a culture that makes global celebrities out of teenage pranksters, how can we elevate the people who actually do the foundational work of our society?

There are some lessons you don't want to learn the hard way.

People who grow their own food know how hard the work is. And it would seem like folks should know how important food is. And yet we throw half of what we produce out. And yet, farmers are often stereotyped as dumb rednecks. "Uneducated".

How can we change the national perception of farmers?

How can we change the culture to appreciate hard work?

These are deep questions with no easy answers.

Joel Salatin has dedicated his life to tackling the hardest of tasks with a combination of genius, humor, and tell-it-like-it-is old fashioned wisdom.
