Saving Rural America
Everyone who is curious about an event called the Farmer Gratitude Summit is either a farmer or someone who deeply appreciates farmers. Basically, someone who understands how important the people who literally feed us are.
The ugly truth is that rural America is in bad shape. Shops on Main St. are struggling. School consolidations happen again and again, until there are 5 towns that used to have highschools consolidated into one school. For example in Iowa- the school districts of Beaman, Conrad, Liscomb, Union, and Whitten have merged into one BCLUW High School.
Although serious, the problem is not impossible. And the most important part of the solution is creating jobs in rural America.
Will Harris, Mike Callicrate and Greg Gunthorp are farmers and entrepreneurs who have devoted their lives to creating jobs in rural America, who have repeatedly turned down offers to outsource, so that they can keep the lights on in St. Francis, Kansas, keep the schools filled in LaGrange, Indiana and keep Main Street thriving in Bluffton, Georgia.
